Hi, all set up with my Vodaphone router, network _ext found on phone but it doesn't accept the password on the router. I've tried every password I can think of, don't know what to do next.....

Did you set up RE300 with the vodaphone router via WPS button?
--if yes, could you please refer the RE300 by holding the reset pinhole for 10s, then try to set it up via Tether APP:

@TP-Link yes and yes. Eventually I used the very many digit password shown on the available networks in the app and it worked but seriously tedious entering that. It doesn't work as the instructions say with the Vodaphone router password and I can't get a 5g option at all.
