Firmware Update
My try to use the app on my iPhone to update the firmware on my Deco M9 Plus but it says that it is up to date. I thought there would be 2020 version of the firm with some updates specifically for login into the Deco M9 Plus via website on my computer.

Hi,
Thanks for your patience.
For the V1.2.12, it did not support the web interface.
And you might need to use the firmware upgrade tool to update the firmware:
The latest US version:
Deco M9 Plus(US)_V2_200921
https://static.tp-link.com/2020/202010/20201009/Deco%20M9%20Plus_V2_200921.zip
(the upgrade tool/utility is included as does the detailed instruction.)
Thank and wait for your reply.

Thanks so very much. I have downloaded the firmware upgrade. So how do I tell if my units are V1 or V2? I think it is V1 but how do i tell.
Finally, when I am upgrading the firmware can I just go directly to the latest one and it will take care of everything prior my version up to the latest one or do I have to install each upgrade after mine until the latest one?

Hi,
1. As for the hardware version, please check on the bottom label of the Deco, or it would also show up on the device settings of the Deco APP;
2. the latest firmware is 1.4.3 and the current one is 1.2.12, so there is a possibility that you could not update to the latest firmware directly;
And if that happened, you might need to update the bottom on this link, then to the latest:

Thank you very much.

So I used M9Plus_2.0_upgrade_tool_v1.1.1_macOS.app to run the upgrade of my Deco firmware as discussed. Everything worked fine. The Upgrade Tool did recognize that my system has 3 units and per you suggestion I started with the first update in 2020 which was Deco M9 Plus_V1_200324. It ran fine and did not crash or have an issue.
Then a page came up that the Deco would be rebooted to finalize the install. I assumed that the Deco would reboot itself and at some point I would lose my connection to the Deco and then get it back. None of that happened. It has not rebooted. I did the process again and looked to see if the main Deco would go off of green on the LED. Nothing.
Need your guidance.
