Model: Deco M4
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 4.3

HI, i face some issues regrading Deco M4.

I signed 500 Mbps as my internet plan.
I used PPPoE method to access.

Firstly, I can't use the Ethernet Backhaul for my main Deco as it reserved for IPTV.

But the IPTV it enables along with VAN. I cannot turn off either one, as I need to turn off both.

Once I turned off , no Internet Access shown.

Additionally, my main deco radiates out the speed just roughly 200Mbps ( 180-210 Mbps) .How can I improve my wifi speed in main Deco.
My main deco and second deco is just far 10-15m distance in straight line (no obstacle) ,the second deco m4 speed drops till  nearly 55Mbps.
The speed drops too huge and i third deco (third connected to second wirelessly) is just about 25Mbps.
Any idea to improve the speed?

I plan to use ethernet backhaul to connect main and second deco but i face the 1st issue.

@Max321123

Hi, thank you very much for your patience.

The latest firmware  1.5.1 for M5 supports a separate switch for VLAN for IPTV server and internet service.

And it would be added to the M4 in the future.

As for the internet speed of the main Deco, have you enabled the Qos, or parental control and antivirus features?

And did both the 2.4ghz and 5ghz have a slow speed?

What is the speedtest result over the Deco APP?

Thanks a lot!

Hi, I used Ookla for my speedtest. I did test 5Ghz alone and 2.4+5Ghz got the same result. Means I cannot do ethernet backhaul for my Deco M4??

Hi there. I am trying to set up a Ethernet Backhaul for my M4 (1 x main and 2 x slaves) and had a couple of questions. Is Ethernet Backhaul currently supported on the M4 models? I have Ethernet cabling wired into the house, so if I wanted to make a connection from my Main to 1 slave, is the following correct? - In the living room, I would connect a ethernet cable from the Main M4's second Ethernet port into the Ethernet port in the wall - In the study, I would run a ethernet cable out of the port in the wall into one of the ethernet ports in the back of the M4 slave Thanks in advance for your help.

@Brett88

Hi, Deco M4 supported the Ethernet backhaul and your described connection is correct.

Thank you very much.
