Hello, everybody.

I am comparing both models AX10 (WiFi 6) and Archer C80 (WiFi 5).

The main difference is described below:

AX10 has OFDMA which technology can work only with WiFi 6 clients, but do not have MU-MIMO technology (at least not specified).

https://www.tp-link.com/us/home-networking/wifi-router/archer-ax10/#specifications

Archer C80 has 3x3 MIMO technology which can work only with WiFi 5 clients. Of course there is no OFDMA as this is only for WiFi 6.

So my question is following: if we have mainly WiFi 5 clients and below (e.g. wifi 4 etc.) which router is better?

The main goal is router to can handle more and more devices at the same time, low latency.

Yes, AX10 has triple-core 1.5 Ghz CPU which increases speed, but anyways.

Will Archer C80 work better with his MU-MIMO technology than AX10 with WiFi 5 clients?

Thank you.

If I were you, I would go for Archer AX10, since wi-fi 6 is backward compatible with wi-fi 5 clients. Also in perspective, more and more devices would be wi-fi 6 capable so look at that as an infrastructure investment.

@globaluty

Hello, AX10 does support MU-MIMO by default on the latest firmware, it's just no disable/enable switch.
