Model: Archer T4U V2
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1030.38.712.2019

Hello,

About a week ago I started having more and more problems with the internet. The system (Win10 Pro) stopped seeing 5ghz networks, both mine and those in the area and even if I manage to connect to the 5ghz network, the connection breaks all the time, then the T4U v3 resets.

Everything in system looks correct.

I tried:

-„repair options” in tp-link software

-I tested both versions of the firmware. The newest and the one delivered on the board with T4U v3

-reset the Adapter to default settings

-reset the Network Settings in Win10 to default settings

Is there anything else I should try?

@Mikele

Hello, thanks for asking.

May I know how long have you had the adapter? Did you ever upgrade the Windows system or change any setting in your network when this issue began to happen?

Is this 1030.38.712.2019 version you got from the Windows update or yon installed it manually? Please check on the network adapters and see how many drivers have you installed for this adapter, if there are different drivers, remove all of them and install it from the Windows. Go to Device Manager -> Right Click the Adapter (It should be in yellow ! mark if you removed all the drivers) -> Update Driver -> Browse my computer for driver software -> Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer -> Install the "driver provided by Microsoft" (newest one depends on the version of Windows 10). Once the installation is successful and with no errors, then confirm again if the connection is stable.

BTW, what is the model number of your home router?

Could you please help me check the system info and driver info on the computer, such as https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2722/

I hope this helps.

Hello @Kathy_Z,

I bought the adapter a year ago and yes, there was a windows update about week ago but the adapter problem didn't show up immediately after it.

I installed 1030.38.712.2019 version manually after when i checked the drivers because one forum post suggested to reinstall them. (there wasn't any changes in network)
