so recently i ordered a new wifi adapter a few weeks ago as my old one stopped working. the new one was working fine for the first day, then started to have problems on the second day. the wifi adapter disconnects every minute or so and starts working again after about 5 minutes. also, this problem only seems to happen when i use a wifi intensive website such as video streaming or gaming.

 

i've tried reinstalling the drivers, which didn't work
if anyone could help me, that'd be great

Hello, sorry for getting back late.

 

It is suggested to try my previous reply that update the public driver for this TL-WN823N:
https://static.tp-link.com/2020/202006/20200601/00015960-RTLWlanU_WindowsDriver_1030.38.0712.2019_Drv_3.00.0032.L.zip


If this doesn't help, please help confirm some details, and we will try to work it out:
1. Is it possible to try this adapter on another computer and confirm if the issue persists?
2. Is there any anti-virus software running on the computer? Can you please try to uninstall it and see if that makes a difference?
3. It is suggested to try to adjust the wireless channel and channel width on the wireless router, which may help to improve the wireless connectivity and range.

Have you tried to install the following driver to have a look:

@Kathy_Z when I ordered the wifi adapter, it came with a CD with all the drivers in it, which ive installed
