AC1300 archer t6e not connecting to 5 ghz

Just got my tp-link ac1300 network adapter. Model archer t6e downloaded the drivers from the site after plugging it in, followed all instructions. went to connect and it wont connect to my 5ghz. currently on my 2.4 and working great, strong signal that i haven't been able to get from other adapters ive tried.

there was no error message it was just can't connect to the network. I downloaded the driver as requested but when i follow the instruction and browse disk i don't see a netr28ux its just bcm

Hello, what is the operating system of your computer that you need to install this T6E adapter, is it a Windows 10 32bit or 64bit? It is also suggested adjusting the 5GHz wireless channel on the wireless router, BTW, what is the model number of your router?
You may also try to delete the previous driver installed on this computer and try to manually update the driver by downloading it from the below link:

Have you tried to change the 5GHz wireless channel on the nighthawk netgear router. model c7000-100NAS? It is suggested to try different 5GHz channels and see if this PC can find it.

@Kevin_Z which channel do i need to switch it too? or do i just go through each one? do i continue to try different channels if like 5 dont work?

Hello, you may try to install a Wi-Fi analyzer, scan for the wireless networks around you, then try to choose a clearer one among 36/40/44/48 on your Netgear nighthawk c7000-100NAS router.
