Model: Archer T6E
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: Archer T6E(US)_V1&V2_200603_Win10

Hi,
I recently have been having issues with my Archer T6E wifi adapter card. It's unable to achieve speeds greater than 2mpbs on download. I've tried the newest drivers from the TPLink support page without any improvement. I'm running windows 10 and have an Asus Z170A motherboard, I'm also using a Bell Home hub 3000 for a router. On a laptop in the same room, I can achieve speeds of 70 mbps consistently so I believe the issue is with the adapter itself.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

@ValKob

Good day,

Thank you very much for your time and patience.

Have you tried this driver:

https://static.tp-link.com/2019/201911/20191129/Archer T6E T9E_ASUS driver_7.35.351.0.zip

Did you try to change the wireless channel of the 5ghz on the Bell home Hub to be channel 48, channel width 80 MHz?

and the consistent 70m/s, is it the Ethernet speed on the laptop from the router, or wireless speed on other mobile devices?

Is the speed on both 2.4hz and 5ghz up to 2m/s

Could you please help me check the link speed on the device when it is connected to the 5ghz, such as https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2265/ ?

If possible, please help me check the driver info and system info on the computer as well: https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/2722/

Thanks a lot.

@Kathy_Z
Hi Kathy, thank you for the reply!
I have tried that driver and unfortunately, the problem still persists.

I'm currently in an apartment living situation and cannot change the router's 5ghz settings.
The 70 mbps is achievable over a wireless connection with both my laptop and mobile device in the same room.

The link speed on the device is 162 mbps.

Our current wifi configuration also only has the 5Ghz band enabled.

The driver version is 7.35.351.0

Here's a screen shot for my system information.
