Model: Deco X60
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

So when I bought and installed the deco x60 all was great for the first month. About 2-3 weeks ago we started having an issue with my daughter's PS4 continually losing WiFi internet connection. We run the connectivity and all looks good, she then tried to connect to a multiplayer game and before the game completes loading she gets a black screen with a message saying "internet connection lost". The system is up to date with most recent versions, connectivity is obtained, we have reset the PS4 to factory settings, moved the main satellite/router less than 6inches away from the PS4, and she continually loses internet connection. We have checked to make sure that the PSN is up and running, and all is good. That being said, I have another teenager that has the exact same system just across the hallway that has NOT once lost connection or received the same error. I have read that many people have experienced this issue with the mesh system, and while a few have found that opening the guest account and dedicating the PS4 to the guest account has resolved their issues we have not found that to be the fix for us. So on a somewhat good note, we have found that if we hardwire her PS4 with and Ethernet cord into the router she does not lose connection. I find this frustrating as the only way that I can hardwire her in is either by buying an additional unit satellite for her to have in her room or letting her take over my living room with her game system. I have googled, read tons of info on multiple different sites, and finding myself very frustrated. The confusing part is that it worked, they both worked without issues for the first month, nothing changed, no updates, nothing. Please help, this momma is at her wits end. Oh and the router is set up as a dynamic ip, the PS4 shows as a NAT type 2, I've removed all of the parental controls thinking that maybe that was causing the issue....not sure what else to do.

BUMP! Just bought deco x60 everything has been great except ps4 connection. Turned off, standby, the ps4 won’t connect to the network. When it does connect to the router it’s stable through hours of playtime but after turning off it/sleep mode it seems to not be able to connect back. Reset, turned off, created guest network 2.4/5 all combos nothing worked and then all of a sudden the ps4 connects to the router. This has happened twice now. Seems to be common for ps4 after searching too. Any other fixes or ideas other than it randomly working again?

@Jip

Hello, sorry that we didn't pick up this topic.

Have you guys tried to change the DNS setting on the Deco X60 if it is working as a router? If not yet, give it a go, try to change the DNS server on the Deco to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, then reboot the system and confirm.

If this doesn't help, please help confirm how is the PS4 connected to the Deco X60, 2.4GHz or 5GHz.
