TD W9970 Operation

Hi all.
We've recently moved to a new build house which has fibre to the premesis feed.
I've broaught my W9970 Modem Router to the house and managed to get it to work, seemingly OK, with this feed (Through an openreach box)
The company I've gone with for supply have advised I should get upto 75Mb/S feed, I seem to be getting about 46-48Mb/S when I do a check.
The wifi seems a bit patchy at times and I was wondering if there is a way of setting up my device to make the wifi better (and possibly the feed through my poweline system better as well???)
I am no tech minded genious so laymans terms or pointers to understandable documentation advising of set up choices would be good.

For your case, please refer to the following suggestions:
- check the DSL status on the TD-W9970 to see how about the DSL rate:
- change the wireless channel on the 4ghz to be channel 11;
