Archer T4U AC 1300 Model not able to list 5Ghz network.

 

I have tried with below driver.

https://static.tp-link.com/2018/201811/20181109/Archer%20T4U(USEU)_V3_181023_Win.zip

 

I have also tried in Ubuntu using driver link provided in https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2392214

driver git link 

git clone https://github.com/MeissnerEffect/rtl8822bu.git

 

Let me know if anywhere else I need to refer for the driver.

Sorry for the delay.

Did you install this adapter on the windows or Linux system?

If on the windows, please have a look at the following driver:

https://static.tp-link.com/2019/201911/20191128/Archer T4U V3_TP-Link driver_1030.22.0202.2018.zip

 

and it does not list any 5ghz network, not just the 5ghz of the main router, right?

I have installed driver both in linux and windows 10 , both case I am not able to find 5Ghz hotspot(created in mobile).

 

In windows 10 I installed the driver mentioned by you , still it does not list any 5 Ghz network.

 

But when use the inbuilt wifi in winodws 10 that is able to discover the 5 Ghz network.

 

Actually I need the driver in linux , let me know if any specific driver you recommend .

 

Any way to confirm if the hardware is faulty or depenedent on some country code for 5 Ghz.

Archer T4U only had the driver supported Linux kernel 2.6.18 ~ 4.11:

And is there any 5ghz network that would be detected by the Archer T4U?

By the way, how long have you had the adapter and where are you located?

We have built the driver but we see most of the channels 5Ghz channels are disabled. As of now we are trying with mobile hotspot(5Ghz).

We can not configure the channels for  mobile hotspot.

 

We are not able to see any 5Ghz network.

 

We have bought the adapter recently , we are from India.

 

We have one query based on what 5Ghz channels are configured in the TpLink USB Wifi dongle ? Is it pre-configured with the dongle or we can configure it ?

 

We see below is the channel configuration for the TpLink Modem.  And the hotspot we created is broadcasting at 5745Mhz.

 

We want to know why this channel is disabled ?
