Are you trying to say there is no internet service on the new modem?
Where are you located and who is your internet service provider?
Did the DSL light lit up on the modem and can I have a picture of the system page on the TD-W8961:
Which internet connection type did you use, dynamic IP, PPPoE?
And have you checked with the internet service provider to see whether or not you have the correct username and password?
