Model: TL-WN725N
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version:

Plase what shall I change or setup to increase the speed? Both DL and UP are extremely slow, not usefull like this. PC is close enough to modem, no interferences in the room. I surely expect much higher speed.

Thx, Jan

@Jan66

Good day.

Thank you very much for your kind reply.

May I know how much speed you can get on the computer, and how much speed from the main router?

Could you please help me check the wireless link speed on the computer, such as

https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2265/

If possible, please try to update the driver to be the following one:

https://static.tp-link.com/2019/201911/20191129/TL-WN725Nv3.zip

and please also try to change the wireless channel of 2.4ghz on the router to channel 11;

thanks a lot.

@Kathy_Z

Dear Kathy,

I tried the following steps:

I downloaded the driver, but windows displayed a message, that the device has already the latest driver.

I checked the speed as suggested and it says 57.8

I tried to change the 2,4ghz channel to 11, but there are only options 1-9

I again measured the internet speed at it says 2,7/0,8 DL/UL which is very slow:(

Do you have some other suggestions?

Thank you a lot, Jan

Hi, thank you very much for your kind reply.

May I know how long have you had TL-WN725N an when did the issue start?

If possible, please still try to update the following driver since it is released by the chipset manufacture which would have a better compatibility with the adapter;

By the way, where are you located?

Thanks a lot.
