[Solution] Weak secuirty issue on the IOS system

Background:
Some of you may have updated your Apple devices to the latest iOS 14 version and get a “Weak Security” warning message when connecting to the Deco network.
Why Deco network is displayed as “Weak Security”?
Deco by default secured your wireless network with a mixed WPA/WPA2-AES/TKIP security, and the previous firmware was not allowed to manually configure the security mode. While iOS14 and some new operating systems consider other than the latest WPA3 and WPA2 AES to have security issues.
Solution:
1.The latest firmware version has allowed users to manually configure the security mode; Please make sure that you have updated Deco to the latest firmware;
2.Please ensure you are running the latest Deco app on your phone;
Then Launch your Deco app->MORE->Wi-Fi, tap the password box and you will be able to change the Security Type:
Note:
1.Sometimes Deco APP might fail to get the latest firmware upgrade notification, please also check on the local official website to ensure you have the latest firmware;
2. After changing the security mode to WPA2-PSK (AES) only, If some of your old IoT devices cannot connect to the Deco network anymore, you could change the security back to the mixed WPA2-PSK (AES)+WPA-PSK (TKIP) as your devices might not support the newer AES version.

The other day I updated my Deco M5's to the 1.5.0 beta firmware.
Noticed this one is 1.4.9 but has a later revision version. Which one should I be using?

I was thinking the same thing.
I bit the bullet and did try 'updating' to this latest 1.4.9. but it didn't let me, I imagine because it's version number is lesser.
Which makes me also concerned about being able to go back to the 'release' version if it becomes that 1.4.9 is the official release.

Hello,
As for the beta firmware for the Deco M3W, our developers are still working on it.
As a workaround, you may update your Deco P7 to the new beta firmware, which we have released a day ago in this thread, and it will allow you to change the wireless security even though the M3W is on:

Thanks.

Hello, sorry for any confusion caused by the newer beta.
Previously, we received customer feedback that there is a Deco M3W in his Deco network and he was not able to get the option to change the wireless security on his Deco app, so we have updated the beta firmware now to allow those who may have different models in the same Deco network to change the wireless security even though some Deco devices don't support it.
If the Deco devices in your network have already got the beta firmware, there is no need to update this new one, thanks a lot~

Hello!
Ok I can confirm, the beta firmware 1.4.9 for the Deco P7 with an integrated M3W (1.0.5) still shows the security settings :)
Thanks

Hi, what is the model number of your Deco device? Have you updated to the corresponding beta firmware already? Thanks.
