Firmware Version: 190409

My recently brought TPlink tl-wn722n 2.4ghz wifi adapter suddenly dops bandwidth from 10Mbps to soo much lower even like 300Kbps .

 

But at this time I am only wifi user . Then i checked my net speed using LAN port of my router but its working fine . I am approximate 15 feet away from my router .

But facing this problem sometimes , even from  2 miniutes to 5 miniutes its work well .

 

I changed my pc usb port for solution but no solution. Can anyone tell what causes this issue and the way to solve it .

 

My router is tplink archer c20 v5 US model with latest firmware .

May I know how long have you had the adapter and when did the issue start？

How many times would it happen within one day?

Have you ever checked the link speed when it dropped to 300kbps, such as https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2265/

 

When the speed suddenly dropped, did it come back automatically later or you have to reboot the computer?

If possible, please refer to the following instruction：

  1. Change the wireless advanced setting on Archer C20, such as https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2292/
  2. Please update to be the following driver: https://static.tp-link.com/2019/201911/20191129/TL-WN722N_111121.zip

@Kathy_Z Thanks for reply.

 

I am sure in now that it was not wireless adapter problem . but it was because my tplink archer c20 v5 US . Because there is too many interference and channel over lapping in 2.4ghz band such as almost 15 to 16  nearby router detected by my Tplink TL-WN722N adapter. I contacted service center of Tplink in Bangladesh, they suggested me to change router channel manually to a less congested channel and I do it. From then there is no problem
