Model: Archer C5400
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I'm trying to set up a C5400 and I could not connect to any of the 2 5G networks. I put them on different channels and also had to change channel width. This makes it possible to connect to both networks. However, one network warns saying connection password is not secure and when I'm connected, there is no internet. The other 5G connection works fine, but for some reason, it creates 2 different names. For example, I named it "wifi_5g", but it appears as "wifi_5g 1" and "wifi_5g 2". How can I set up everything properly? Only the "2" works.

My current settings:

2.4ghz Channel width: Auto Channel: Auto

5ghz-1 Channel width: 40mhz Channel: 64

5ghz-2 Channel width: Auto Channel: 100

@allday

Hello,

Please ensure the Smart Connect is disabled on your web interface, then create a new SSID for the 5GHz-1, such as your name, and ensure it is completely different from the SSID of the 5GHz-2, change its channel to 36/40/44,  then reboot the C5400 router and try to search for the 5GHz-1 again.

BTW, please ensure your are running the latest firmware on the C5400.

Good day.
