Archer C2300 connection slower than expected
I recently upgraded my internet service too fibre 750 x 750mbps
When I test the speed on the router using the tether app I get 760 x 760, which is good.
But when I test the speed on a computer connected directly to one of the Lan ports I only get between 300 - 400 both ways, and the wireless is sub 100.
What gives, have I surpassed the switching capabilities of the router?

Hello,
Who is your internet service provider and what is the current network topology?
Without any devices connected, please connect one computer to the C2300 directly and to test the speed for 3 times and show us the screenshots of the test results.
And please check the wired/wireless negotiation speed separately as below when the computer is connected to the C2300:
https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2899/
https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2265/
Meanwhile, please check the information mentioned above with your device connected to the modem directly so that we can do a comparative analysis.
Please ensure that the current firmware is up to date. And change another wired cable to connect the router and modem, like cat 5e or above.
You can refer to the below instruction to narrow down the issue as well.

Good day.

I finally had time to do some testing.
i tested on the router with a laptop and a know good gig cable and got 450.
so i plugged the computer in to the fibre converter same cable and got 450, and an allert from Speedtest to install the app from the windows store. after i did that i got the 750 result i was looking for.
replugged the router and connected back to the router and am now getting 750 off there too.
so i guess you cant use the web Speedtest for connection speeds this fast.
but it all works now, thanks for your help.
PS. as you asked I'm using Telus Fibre, and i have a ping of 0ms, and up/down of 750/750.
