Can an extender be used to extend and extender? Thus, can I use 2? Just need a bit more signal?

An extender would be wirelessly connected to the router and broadcast its own signal;
Yes, you could use 2 together, and it is highly recommended to set up like: extender1- wireless--router-wireless--extender2(put router in the middle);
