Archer T2U Nano frequently disconnects from Archer C5 Modem

Hi,
Few days back I purchased Archer T2U Nano to support a 200 Mbps internet connection. Unfortunately it is frequently disconnecting from the Archer C5 Modem. The modem is 1.5 - 1.7 metres away from the laptop. I have reinstalled the drivers but nothing seems to work. . Also I noticed that it gets very hot whenever I'm downloading some big files. It shows no internet connection. So I have to disable and re-enable the usb wifi to reconnect with the internet.
Thanks.

Good day.
Thank you for your patience.
For your case, please help us check the following information:
- Please check the IP address when the computer lost the internet connection before disabling and enabling the adapter?
- May I know the system info and driver info about your computer: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2722/
- Did both 2.4ghz and 5gzh have the same issue?
Then please refer to the following suggestions:
- Modify the wireless advanced settings on the Archer C5, like channel and channel width, such as https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2292/
- Update the driver to be the following one: https://static.tp-link.com/2019/201911/20191128/T2Uv3_windows_Driverfils.zip
How to use the driver: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/920/
Thank you!

Hi, @Kathy_Z
OS Name - Microsoft Windows 10 Home Single Language
Version - 10.0.19041 Build 19041
T2U Nano Driver Info - 1030.38.712.2019
T2U Nano Drive Date - 29-07-2019
Issue exist only in the 5ghz. And disconnection takes place when I'm downloading a large file.
I modified the Archer C5 as per the link, the internet speed got reduced to 80mbps from 200mbps. So I have rolled back to the previous setting. Now I'm getting 150mbps.
By updating the driver with the link that you have provided, the speed got reduced to 50-60mbps. So I rolled back.

Good day.
Thank you for your reply.
In this way, we might need to forward your case to our engineers and please check your message box.
At the same time, could you please help me check the following information:
If you did no try to download the large file, would there still be some drops out and the adapter still get hot?
And what would happen if you try to download the file from 2.4ghz, except that it would take much longer time, would there be any drops out?
Thank you very much!

Hi @Kathy_Z
The usb modem disconnects when I'm downloading a file on 5ghz but works normally in 2.4ghz. Also, it is moderately hot when I'm surfing the iternet but gets super hot while downloading. This rise in temperature happens in both 2.4ghz and 5ghz.

Good day.
Thank you very much for your kind reply.
In this way, I am afraid that there might be something wrong about the adapter and please try to contact the shop retailer to get it replaced first.
Thanks for your cooperation and support.
