my wifi extender won't connect as it says password is incorrect. I have tried multiple times with the correct password but still won't connect.

May I know the model number of your range extender?
What is the hardware and firmware version about it?
After the setup, did you see the signal light or 2.4ghz and 5ghz lit up?
And did you set up via WPS button? If yes, could you please also use the Tether APP to have a try: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/1373/
