Hi,

 

   I have TP link AC1200 and ACT Broadband connection in Bangalore. My connectivity speed is very good but my RE650 extender is disappointing

 

When I perform internet speed test for 5GHz then I get the following results

 

5 GHz -Speed Test
  AC 1200 Router RE650 Extender
Download Mbps 140 31.3
Upload Mbps 249 1.12

 

Extender placement is good and when I check in my TP-Link App (Tether), it states that router is placed in proper position.

 

Can you please help here.

Thank you very much for your patience.

For your case, we might need your help to check the following information for further analysis.

  1. Is your main router Archer C1200, or C6/C5?
  2. Have you connected to the RE650 via Ethernet cable to see how much you could get via an Ethernet connection?
  3. May I know the wireless link speed on the 5ghz of the RE650, such as https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2265/?

Then please refer to the following suggestion:

  1. Change the wireless channel of the main router C1200, such as https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2292/
