Model: Archer A2300
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Numerous emails sent with a case number registered but no follow up.  All I get is an automated response saying they will contact me within 24hrs.  3 cases logged and still no response.  I have tried the live support which is always unavailable no matter what time I try.  I get the same message that support is not available now.

Maybe someone at TPLink will repond now but failing that I return this router and go with the competition.  Pity because I want to add three routers to my home and if this is the support I get then hell no.  Please can someone from TP-LINK get in touch.

@ChrisMoore

Hello Chris,

Thank you for your patience.

I am really sorry for the inconvenience caused by the local support team.

Now, please refer to the following instruction to set up the  Archer VR400:

Since you mentioned on the ticket that, the computer could be directly connected to the modem and get internet directly,

(I guess it is the WAN/LAN port connected to the ISP modem, am I right?)

So you might need to change the VR400 to wireless router mode and set up dynamic IP as the internet connection type;

Step 1: Log in to the modem via 192.168.1.1;

Then go to advanced>operation mode>choose wireless router modem, then it would reboot to apply the settings

Step2: go to Basic>internet, then for the internet connection type, please choose Dynamic IP;

PS: After the setup, you could go to advanced>status> internet to check if there is any IP address;

If it is not, there is one more tip: clone the mac address of the computer;(the computer needs to be connected to the VR400 via Ethernet cable)

 Thank you and waiting for your reply.

I have been through all of your suggestions previously with no luck. I will try once more.
