HI, so Ive paired 2 extenders in the house.. works a treat if you physically connect to the tp link device from the wifi list on your devices... but what if you go back downstairs with the device.. have I got to then change wifi connection constantly? ie all good upstairs in the bedroom when connected to the extender.. come down stairs with my phone.. WEAK signal, so have to connect to main hub. Help please, nort sure I've set this up properly.. btw ethernet cable into laptop works good too through extenders.

Thanks

@MrTedd

Good day,

Thank you very much for your patience.

You have already set up the power-line device correctly.

Since the power-line Wi-Fi extension is not the real mesh extension system, basically, there are still two different Wi-Fi networks between the router and power-line extender.

If you devices support roaming, normally they could automatically jump to a stronger Wi-Fi signal.

And there are also some small tips to reduce the switching time:

  1. Set up the Wi-Fi name of the AV600 to be the same as main router, such as: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/1611/

Thank you~

Have a nice day.
