Hi,

i got an wr1042nd and installed the newst firmware. I started the FTP-Server and tried to connect to the internet ip (192.168.0.xxx, internet-option is on) but i get no connection. i tried with browser, explorer and winscp. ping with cmd is possible.

any ideas? i already reset the router

thank you for your response.

i did as descriped but it dont work. i cant access with the wan ip. any other ideas?

You can also access the FTP server by external network. Please type in address ftp://wan IP to access to it.

192.168.0.xxx is the wan ip i think, isnt it? but ftp://192.168.0.xxx dont work

Your WAN address isn't public IP, you have second router (NAT) in your network.

sorry im not that expert in networks :(
i have a modem which connects over pppoe which is connected with the tp link which just take the signal of the modem. which ip i have to use to get access to the ftp server of the tp link router?
