Archer T2U Plus Nano USB Adapter Slower Connection

I'm trying to play a video game and I keep getting stuttering due to high ping. I ran a speed test and I get much lower download speed (30 vs 100) then my laptop in the same exact location. Does this particular adapter not perform as well as regular wifi cards or is there something I can do to improve the connection?

Good day.
Thank you very much for your time and patience.
Have you tried to update the following drivers:
https://static.tp-link.com/2019/201911/20191128/T2Uv3_windows_Driverfils.zip
and please also check the wireless link speed on the 5ghz on the adapter, such as https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2265/
By the way, what is the model number of your home router?
How far away from the adapter to the home router?
Thank you very much!

Hi, sorry to hear that you have trouble with the adapter.
For this issue, we would like to collect some information first.
1. Could you please send the screen-shot of the ping spikes when you use the adapter? Can you do a ping test on another computer to do a comparison (at the same location & run the same programs)
2. Put the computer closer to the router and shut off the unnecessary programs on the computer such as gaming programs and online video applications, then send the screenshot of the ping test to us again.
3. How long did you have the adapter and when did the issue start? How often this issue happen?
4. What is the model number of the Wi-Fi router?
5. Please send us the photos of the driver version and computer system information as FAQ: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2722/
Thanks for your cooperation.
Good dat!

I have the same problem. I just bought a T2U Nanu AC600 usb adapter (2 days ago), even if Im at 5Ghz, i cant get past 5mbps of speed. When i run the speedtest on my my laptop side by side, i get 20-21mbps speed test. I also notice that it will just disconnect with no apparent reason. I just have to reconnect again to be able to access the internet. such a pain.
This is a newly installed Win10 with not much of a program.
This is the current version of my TP link driver.
