Model: RE200
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 1.0.4

Today all of a sudden it wasn't possible anymore to log onto the (RE200) extender wifi, it comes up with a password dialog and gives a password error. I did a reset of the RE200 and dit a clean setup while being near of the router. After configuring everything worked fine again but as soon as I move the RE200 to another wallsocket (3 meters further) it has difficulties to connect but even stranger, I get the password error again. When I move the RE200 back to the wallsocket next to my router, no problems. Does someone know what a solution could be? Already did multiple resets, firmware update etc.

@Commodore

Hello,

Can you please try to plug it into another wall socket to give it a go?

Please show me the error screenshot when you try to connect to the extender wifi. BTW, is the extender wifi different from that of the main router?

What kind of devices you are trying to connect to the extender wifi? Please try with multiple devices and check if there is any difference.

Thanks.

@Solla-topee

When using the wallsocket near the main router it works. When I use anoter wall socket (a bit further) it asks for a password (which then seems wrong). Extender wifi is the same as the router if understand you correctly.

Hello,

Could you please tell me whether your wifi network name is the same as your router or different?

Please change a different wall socket to plug this range extender (not these 2 wall sockets), then check if it can work well.

What devices did you use to connect the range extender's wifi? Please try with multiple devices and check if there is any difference. If all devices are not working, please tell me the model number of the devices.

What error information did you have? May I have a screenshot of it?

How far between the second socket and your router?

Thanks!
