Hello,

I'm pretty disappointed in the AP mode of the AX6000.

No Qos and no Parental controls.

Funny thing is that even the Led on top can no longer be configured. I diden't know this was a network feature :-)

I would really not advise this product as an access point or second router behind the one of the internet provider.

Unless you only use the internet connection of your internet provider and connect all other appliances to this router.

Clearly, there can be only one, principle. Saidly enough, the cabling in my house does not fit that (and I'm not going to rebuild to do that either ;-)).

Configuring access from the first network behind the router of the ISP towards the network on this applicance as a second router is a nightmare, if not impossible.

And in AP mode, there is very little advantage to use this router.

There are probably better products for this to do that.

Are there ever coming some software updates to improve this?

Regards,

@Mahoney

Hello, sorry for the frustration caused by the missed features on the AX6000 when working in the Access Point Mode.

Actually, this is not a firmware flaw and it is suggested to check the below FAQ for the reason:

What’s the difference between the Access Point Mode and Router Mode on the TP-Link wireless router?

May it help.
