Model: USB Adapter
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

Hello. My TL-WN8200ND USB wifi adapter disconnects randomly and I don't know why. I've tried updating the drivers from my regional TP-Link website but the program says that in order to install the new drivers, I have to uninstall the old ones first. I tried uninstalling them from Device Manager but the message keeps popping. I also changed the power options but it´s still the same. Its version is V2.0 but I don´t know the firmware version. Thank you.

@Smurf

Hi, for your issue, please follow the instruction and refer to case 3 to uninstall the old driver on your PC. https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/2252/

After that, please install the latest driver from our official website. https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/tl-wn8200nd/#Driver

Then, please check if the issue that adapter disconnects randomly still happens?

If so, may I know the distance between the PC and your main router?

Can you check if the main router has the stable 2.4GHz connection? If other wireless devices connect to the router's 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and have the stable connection?

Please change the router's 2.4GHz Wi-Fi channel to be 1/6/11 to check if the issue still happens?

BTW, may I know when and where you bought the adapter? When does the issue began to happen?

Look forward to your reply.
