Hello, I'm from Quebec, Canada, I have Bell as my service provider...

 

I have the Bell Fibe package with upload and download speeds of 300mbps. The router / hub is a Bell Home Hub 2000 ... I want to hook up the Archer AX50 to it, either as a replacement or to bypass the wifi so I can get a better and stronger signal... Bell says it can't be done besides using their own hardware.. Has anyone been able to make it work?

@Teff2020 I was able to bypass both my 2000 and now, the 3000 (with the 1.5gig speed)

 

It's really not complicated, with the 2000, just turn off the wifi, and the cable that goes into the wan port of the bell router, just plug it into your Archer, enter the credentials to connect to the internet and voila!

 

For the 3000, even simpler, turn off wifi on the bell 3000, then connect a cable from any lan port on the bell to your wan port on your Archer, then again in the internet section connect as a PPPoE, enter your bell internet credentials and you now have 2 internet IP, one from bell and one from your Archer.

 

Speeds are the same, so no loss of speed.

Hello, I think Bell support is correct, this Archer AX50 is just a wireless router and it should work with a modem which connects you to your ISP.

 

In this case, you'd better replace the Bell Home Hub 2000 with a higher-level model in order to get a better speed.

Probably too late to answer this but...You could use your Archer AX50 as an AP! not ideal depending on the fonctionnality of the AX50 but this will work.

 

Let me know if you found ways to use it as your main router as I have home hub 2000 also but with the first fibe tv version so my receivers are all cabled through to the Bell router.
