I a little disappointed with TP-Link. And here is why...I had until the middle of 2019 an Archer C7 V2. Good device, but it had the lack os USB 3.0. Then I bought an Acher C9 V5, better than C7 in many aspects. Then for my surprise TP-Link updates the C7 V5 firmware to support OneMesh, but lacks on support C9 V5 which is better than C7 in every way. Is there any plans for C9 to support OneMesh? This makes no sense.

Sorry, there is currently no plan to add the support for Onemesh on the Archer C9, you may refer to the Onemesh Compatibility List if you want one equipped with Onemesh.

@Solla-topee I understand. But still nonsense... C9 is a beast, C2300 also a beast...both models without onemesh support. And C7 and C6 have such feature...oh well.

Of corse its a nonsense!! Archer c7 v5 get new firmware updates but c9 v5  is on end of life 😀

This model just junk with basic weak firmware no one mesh no wifi schedule function. No nothing.

Is there any news, possible changes or plans for a firmware update for the Archer C9 V5?

I also ordered some years ago to have a robust, feature-rich router which will work for long time.

Just checked my Archer C9 V5 firmware page, it says that the "firmware is not the latest" but the router does not download any updates.

 

Having 1.2.4 Build 20190403 rel.63869(4555)  firmware and the official page shows this 20190403 version as latest one...

 

Can we hope for an update with OneMesh support - or (in my case after 10+ years using TP-LINK products) should we need to look for other brand?
