even I am facing same problem , I want to change the channel to 156 or 157 which seems empty .... 44 is too occupied and I see to see a hidden network using exactly the Same channel as that on a deco ... on a WiFi analyser...

Generally, if you notice that your Deco Wi-Fi network is sharing a channel with several other networks, don’t worry. Crowded isn’t the same as busy, even though some channel scanning apps tell you one specific channel is busy, they don’t always measure other sources of congestion and interference. Non-Wi-Fi signals (like those from microwaves, Bluetooth devices, cordless phones, garage door openers, baby monitors, etc.) can all congest a channel but may not show up in a scan. So it’s possible that a channel can appear empty, while it is, in fact, saturated with other kinds of interference.
If your Deco Wi-Fi network is using a crowded channel but you aren’t experiencing slow speeds, don't worry. Your point is always scanning its environment to choose the channel that is most likely to give you the best Wi-Fi.
However, if your speed is affected a lot, you may refer to the below troubleshooting suggestions first to check and modify the basic settings on your network:

BTW, you may try to enable the 2.4G only for the guest network and enable 5G for the main to give it a go, then monitor the performance, which may be a good try.

Hi,
May i ask. I'm currently using Deco M4 units and are linked to my router. Recently i've changed the wifi channels for both my 5ghz and 2.4ghz after seeing the traffic from a wifi analyzer. But as we now know the Deco units unfortunately are made fixed to specific band or channels only. After i've made the channel changes for my router and checked again the wifi analyzer, yes the Deco units channel are still with the previous channel. So now my router is on different channels while the Deco units are on different channels and yet the connections / internet is still working. Technically what's happening? Can anybody help to explain? Thanks

Hi,
In most of the case, Deco does not support band 4(channel 149-165) on 5ghz and only band 1(channel 36-48) is available;
Only in Bangladesh, all the mobile devices used band 4 so we have released a specific firmware to fix the 5ghz on band 4 but this firmware is not suitable for all users;
So if you want this firmware because some devices are not able to detect the 5ghz, please send me the detailed model numbers of these devices and where are you located, Thank you in advance;
While if it is because the current channel is too much crowed, changing to band 4 is not a good option since some of your devices would fail to detect the 5ghz and we suggest you use network optimization to improve the channel;
As for the hidden SSID on the same channel, it is used to create the wireless backhaul between Deco units;
Thank you very much.
