Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.5.11

I just purchased (3) new dimmer to replace old non connected dimmers in my kitchen. The old dimmers was able to generate higher light output compaired to the HS220 and it appears the dimming portion is not really working. However, I did connect the (Neutral- White) wire to hot, I don't have any other option. What can I do besides pulling it out and returning it? THX!

You'd need to run a proper neutral wire to the box to use a smart switch there. I'm not exactly sure what you mean by connecting white to hot but it doesn't sound very safe.
