Model: Archer C7
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version: 1.0.11 build 20190726

Hello,

I have a router Archer C7 (AC1750).

I only use it in wifi 5GHz mode.

Is it possible to force using DFS ? (in auto mode and without many network, dfs is not used)

Best regards

Frédéric

Hello Frédéric, the Archer C7 does not support DFS, instead, only band 1 or band 4 are available now. So I'm afraid that it cannot satisfy your needs.

Hi Kevin,

A friend has the same router but with hardware v2.0. The channel used for his network is 108 so it should be compatible with dfs isn't ?

My hardware v5.0 is not compatible with dfs ? Is it normal ?

Best regards

Fred

Hi Fred, the channel supported may varies due to its hardware/firmware version, as well as the country version of the product.

You can tell me those information about your friend's product. And yours'.

Note: You can find the country version of the product on the back panel, next to the model number.

Good day.

Ok bad news for me.... I've bought this router for this purpose.

No way to update it with a firmware which allow dfs ?

Hi Fred, sorry to tell you that there is no way to make it support DFS.You can replace it with another router that supports DFS to satisfy your needs, like the AX6000.
