Wi-Fi Statistics STA-ASSOC ?

Wi-Fi Statistics only ever shows a Samsung mobile status as STA-ASSOC and not wpa / wpa2-psk?
Is the link still encrypted?
Thanks

Sorry to respond late. We did a test at our lab with Archer C7 V2; the wifi is WPA/WPA2-PSK encrypted. Once we enter the password to join the TP-Link wifi, it both shows STA-ASSOC during connecting and after connected under the wireless statistics page.
And the cellphone is encrypted and it can access internet properly. So the current status is normal, it is just a running status, which won't affect the performance of the client.
FYI, we take iPhone 8 plus and iPhone 7 plus for tests.
May it help.

What is the model number of your router? And where did you see this message? Please show us a screenshot of it.
Meanwhile, the TP-Link wireless network uses WPA-WPA2-PSK as encryption type by default; once you enabled the wireless password, the connection is encrypted.
Good day.

The Samsung phone works ok but it never shows as running encrypted and just shows as being STA-ASSOC?
As routers have been patched against the (KRACKs) vulnerability i was concerned if the Wi-Fi link to the phone was correctly encrypted and there wasn't some glitch or bug with the patch making it run without any WPA2-PSK encryption.

Hello, the current firmware is up to date.
https://www.tp-link.com/support/download/archer-c7/v2/#Firmware
The current status indicates the connected wireless devices' running status, it is normal and it won't affect the performance of the device.
And it is secured, you do not have to worry about that.
Good day.

I'm confused?
The current status is showing STA-ASSOC and not the correct WPA2-PSK like the example i gave above?
By Google this just means a Station Associated link has been made between the devices and is not encrypted?

Any reason why i'm suddenly being ignored as twice i've replied to this thread looking for clarification why a samsung phone doesn't show its status as encrytpted and you have been on the forum replying to other threads?

Thank you Kevin for testing and the clarification that it is encrypted. :)
Hope my previous post didn't come across as rude , it's just that the end of year sales are on here in the UK and i didn't want to do any online purchasing or banking until i knew it was safe.
Thanks again and sorry to rush you for a reply.
