Firmware Version: 1030.27.425.2018

Some of my phone in our home only supports wifi 5's band 4(149-165) channel, more specifically U-NII-3. but this wifi adapter TP-Link Archer T4U(EU) V3 doesn't support U-NII-3, 5ghz wifi 5 only can see if the router's 5ghz channel set in between 36-140. But there is nowhere mentioned this in the spec list or in the datasheet. So what solution is there for me? I have ASUS AC58U wifi router(that can provide 36-165 5GHz channel), Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro(only supports 149-165 5GHz channel) phone, and this wifi adapter TP-Link3 T4U(EU) V3(only supports 36-140 5GHz chennel. please give me a solution.

I've already fixed my phone issue, now it's working with any wifi 5 band. but is there any way to enable the wifi 5's band 4 on Archer T4U V3(EU) version?

Thanks for your requesting, while I'm sorry to tell you that the adapter and smart phone cannot be satsified at the same time cause the adapter does not support band 4 which is supported by the phone only. 

 

The wifi band supported by the adapter relates to the country version, it should be EU version for the T4U sold in your country, that is the reason why it does not support band 4. 

 

You can verify whether you can update the OS version of the smart phone to enlarge the wifi bands supported;

May I know how did you do to make your phone compatible for all 5GHz network bands? 

 

Meanwhile, I'm sorry to tell you that  there is no method to make the Archer T4U support band 4 yet. You can wait for the updates.

@Kevin_Z i've change the phone region to united states, then it started to see all band of wifi 5.

 

Alright, i'm waiting for update.
