Deco M5 source signal selectable?

Is there an optimize command from the Deco App so that Deco slave units find their best signal source?
Is the signal source for slave decos selectable from the Deco App?

Could you please briefly describe how the option is implemented in the beta firmware. You cannot select which deco connects with the one chosen by the user. I have 5 decos (I just added one) and the four decos satellites are irretrievably connected to the main decode which is connected to the ISP. Thanks and best regards

@Rioja Yes, there's still no option to select the source. The updated firmware is to optimize through "Network Optimization" feature.
I've a mix of Deco M5 & M9+, 2 units each but the two units having wrong source issue were Deco M5 located at Level 3 of my house. After updating the beta firmware for both models, I clicked "Network Optimization" from the app and the two units turn out with the correct source.
Since it's in beta stage, it may not work well for every layout but worth to give it a try.

@YCNg Hi there, like your case, I have a mix of 2 x M9 and 1 x M5, and annoyingly the M5 keeps connecting to the farthest M9 which is the main deco.
Is the beta firmware (M5 & M9) downloadable by public and can their URL be shared to all? Or anyone who would to try them has to PM the TP Link support individually in order to get the beta firmware files?

@grantlabt I am the latest victim of this setup. wrong info and advertisement. i initially bought 2 decos but I found the 2nd deco not getting enough signal since it is in the 2nd floor. So i got a 3rd deco hoping it would connect to the 2nd deco. Unfortunately, it didn't happen. tsk tsk

Hello all,
This is just to report that the beta firmware works. I have flashed all of my Deco M9 and M5 to the beta firmware given by TP Link support.
My Deco M5 is now connected to the middle Deco M9 as it should as a proper/real mesh device instead of stubbornly connected to the farthest main Deco M9 with poor signal previously.
Here are the URLs of the beta firmware for those who want to download and test.

I made the update with this beta firmware and i still have the same problem. It's super sad that after all this time the mesh is not working how how it should work.
The third mesh connects to the main mesh even if it had a better signal from the second mesh.
It is 04/2021 and this problem is for a looog time :( .

@Silvius Have you ran the Network Optimization from the Deco app?
You need to keep trying running multiple times to make the Deco to try to connect to the signal source you want to.
Sometimes it works the first try, sometimes it does not and require multiple retries.
Yes, it is frustrating I know. TP Link thought their Deco algorithm is perfect and awesome, but most of the time it sucks so bad.
Which is why many of us are requesting TP Link to give the users the Advanced Option to manually select the signal source on top of their "Auto" Network Optimization.
