Deco M5 source signal selectable?

Is there an optimize command from the Deco App so that Deco slave units find their best signal source?
Is the signal source for slave decos selectable from the Deco App?

For M5 mesh system and others.
Tp link has to allow the user the priority of connection of the decos between them. Decided by the user.
It is a unanimous request.
Thanks

@TP-Link The ask here is simple. Provide whatever network optimization algorithm which you feel will improve the situation.
But, also provide a way for the customer to select the source manually so that we can try out what works best in our case, in case your algorithm doesn't help.
Not sure why this is such a big thing to provide, given everyone is asking this for years. We are just stuck with a useless M5 system and a useless algorithm.

Good Morning. I cannot understand that TpLink technicians do not give an answer to the questions and suggestions of people like: md_naveed - Rick128 and myself Rioja.
The issue is important to a very large number of people who are customers of the decos manufactured by TpLink.
I still wait for a reflection and an answer.

Hi
i have FIVE deco M5 units around my home and updated to the latest software with the Optimisation.
Some units are in neighbouring rooms upstairs but still decide to get their signal from the main unit downstairs and a weak yellow one bar connection.
The network optimisation reports that its "Perfect"- I assure you that it is not.
With each unit costing around £70 I have made quite an investment here and have several tplink bulbs and plugs but I'm seriously looking at ditching the whole lot and going with another provider that is fit for purpose.
thankfully it's not as if everyone is working at home and relying on a strong WiFi signal to work or anything!

@9jackson Hi, thanks for the additional info. Have you found this to be a permanent fix or did they system revert back to its previous state over time?
I have downloaded and installed the Beta firmware but it had no impact on performance or the signal source for each unit.
Thanks,
Dan

I just read everyone else's recent posts -- doesn't sound like there is a good solution, only temporary kludges that will need to be reimplemented after a reboot or power outtage.
I agree that it's time to go to Plan B. Unfortunately, I bought my units 6 months ago so doubt I can return them.
My question - has anyone had better experience with the Google Mesh Wi-Fi system? Is this a better option?
Thanks,
Dan

@TP-Link my main deco is in the ground floor, so some of the slave units pick up other sources like my outhouse picks up the kitchen as it's source whereas the 3rd floor bedrooms do not chose their closest source. They use the main deco as the source and this is a weak signal position.
This beta firmware will this be a future app/firmware update?

@TP-Link I would like to use the beta because I have five of your M5 devices and they are all connecting to satellites that are not closest to them and my connection keeps dropping.
Many thanks!
