Deco M5 source signal selectable?

Is there an optimize command from the Deco App so that Deco slave units find their best signal source?
Is the signal source for slave decos selectable from the Deco App?

@JoaoMarcus how did you get the beta firmware? Did you have to call them? They will not respond to my request for it..

@TP-Link I am requesting a copy of the beta firmware for Deco M5 mentioned in a recent post.
I have 4 deco units in a 2 story house. The Main Deco is near an outside wall, and no matter what configuration I place them in, the other units always connect to Main (even when another slave is directly between them!). Each unit is about 20' to 30' from the others.
Thank you! Dan

@DanKinATX Thought of sharing my experience.
I have 3 USA v1 and 2 UK V2 decos. All deco M5s.
I tried the beta software. Firmware upgrades were easy and I followed their guide. All looked fine initially but got complaints later in the day from Mrs and kids complaining about the speed of internet. I have got BT Fttp 300mbps and deco speed test showed near 300 all the time.
Decided to go back to the original firmware 1.5.1 Build 20201022 Rel. 66804.
But this time accidentally turned the devices on in the order of connection I wanted . That seems to have done the trick. All decos got meshed correctly with the right signal sources . And no longer everyone is trying to connect to the main deco.
Instead of physically turning off and on. A reboot from the app also could do the trick. Just make sure the deco signal source is ready when this boots up .
Hope it helps.

That once finally worked for my M9 after a dozen unsuccessful attempts. Unfortunately the following day I found out that my farthest slave had spontaneously reconnected again to the main device. Then I surrendered.

@TP-Link will this update be available for M4 and M3W?
When will we get an official update for all Decos?

I have had a private messsage asking me to chek emails days ago - but nothing arrived - any chance this can be sent to me by somebody - I have 8 x M5's and it's driving me crazy !

@TP-Link we have 4 tp link deco m4 that will not connect to the right strength deco all the time, instead it will choose one NOT backhauled further away. So frustrating to reboot reboot or reset a deco to get it to the right deco ... if I leave it as is it will drop from 300 mbps to 12-20 mbps and leaving it to "learn" never happens except occasionally if one of.the others had too much traffic so it changed to another point.
We are prime candidates for beta...

@Bobby19641 I've asked for the Beta but got no reply. I fully agree with all the frustrations. I bought 6 x60's for good coverage but got this.... So far it's been disappointing but I truly hope they fix this bug and deliver the mesh they sold us

@Fi-Wi yes i experienced the same with the new beta firmware on my M9 plus 3deco set. It's not implemented well, it's not an improvement. There is no way around this: For whatever reason the TPLink Deco "mesh" system is designed as a Star topology, NOT a mesh. And now they have major issues fixing it. The only good solution is to have the user define the topology, and select what Deco is connecting to what other Deco. Of course, improving the technology to connect to the *closest* deco instead of the main-deco, would fix everything. But that seems to be an issue for TPLink, unfortunately.

Could you please briefly describe how the option is implemented in the beta firmware. You cannot select which deco connects with the one chosen by the user. I have 5 decos (I just added one) and the four decos satellites are irretrievably connected to the main decode which is connected to the ISP. Thanks and best regards
