Model: Deco M5
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.1

Hi. I have an M5 unit wired to the provider’s fiber modem, and 4 other units with wireless connections. My questions are:

1) is there a performance gain if all of these are connected (wired), like daisy-chained? This is so I can plan better for my hardware setup in a new house I am constructing.

2) would m5 be sufficient to handle 20-50 Mbps?

BTW, I am not sure of my hardware version. I just chose the first.

thank you!

@RoArJr

Hello, per you know, the Deco can connect to each other by wired cable or wireless.

Compared to wireless connection, the ethernet backhaul will take effect with them connected to each other by wired cable; besides, the interference is fewer than the wireless connection environment.

The Deco M5 has the gigabit ethernet ports, theoretically, it can handle up to 1000Mbps, back to your case, it is no doubt that it can handle it.

May it help and have a good day.
