Terrible wifi
Hello, I'm new here and I'm having problems.
I have a Virgin Media superhub 3 with 200mbps internet.
My phone ALWAYS gets the full 200+ speed. Never any issues.
We started to lose WiFi signal upstairs and the homeplugs we were using were causing slow speeds on the plugged in items.
I've set up a trio of Deco M5 on each floor.
1. Connected in living room direct to router.
2. Connected in computer room.
3. Connected in attic.
Now they are ALL using 2.4ghz and never 5ghz. No idea why. The plugged in items are great, the speed has increased 10x. The WiFi however is abysmal. On a good day I can get 20mbps, but usually it's barely above 10mbps. The upload is always around 20mbps.
Also, all units connect to unit 1. I would have thought that each unit would connect to the closest unit to help the signal. The signal I'm getting in my loft is 1 bar.
Any ideas why I'm getting such poor WiFi when I can get 10x that by sticking with my usual superhub modem??
