I received the update yesterday (1.3.1).

I tried to connect my Hue bridge to my Deco M5.

But for some reason the deco does not detect the Hue brigde, I restarted both devices already.

The router is in AP mode and not in Router mode, I don't know if that matters?

Anyone facing the same issue?

@whiteswan The same password you use in the app, your TP-Link password

The hue will be linked to your main router, so probably can't add to app. I'll check tomorrow/Monday when I get chance to update as I have hue Bridge as well and use deco m5 in ap mode

Hi

Ok managed to log in to web interface (thanks for the password hint above) - now being partially sighted this is AWESOME - so much easier to see on my large screen.

One thing I have noticed is that it shows all 5 of my decos - but only the main one is named - the other 4 just say "custom" - they are all named in the app - just wondering why ?

I guess it just connects to the Hue Bridge IP, if so, I don't understand why the hue bridge has to be connected to the Deco.

I will try to put my deco in router mode and see if it works then.

I just have hue controlled by the hue app or my Google Home devices.

@Kevin_R when u've given the deco's a custom name in the Web interface this is not pulled through.

Upgraded from 1.2.8 to 1.3.1 today.

Unfortunately wired connection speed was reduced by one third (90 -> 60)

Modem ---- wired ---> Main Deco ---- wifi ----> Deco ---- wifi ----> Deco ----wifi ----> Deco ---- wired ----> PC

Speed reduction from the last Deco in the chain to the PC, one third

We have updated to 1.3.1 today for our 9 M5 deco units and the connection information has been very useful to ensure these are best placed around the property, its highlighted a couple of weaker signal blackspots near older thick walls. A question about the mesh connection information for a deco M5 device showing what other device its connected to, in that does one M5 device only connect to one other m5 device or will it connect to multiple M5 devices (mesh) where it can see them?
