Hi, 

 

I'm planning the get the Deco m4, but have some queries. 

 

Can I continue to use DHCP service from my existing router, and use the Deco M4 in AP mode ? Does this break the M4 mesh ?

Hi,

 

You can configure the Deco M4 as access point with useing the DHCP service from the existing router. 

 

The Deco M4 will still create a mesh wifi system.

@Kevin_Z Hello,

I have same question about dhcp of Deco. My router have range IP 192.168.1.0/24, I user my router for DHCP server, could deco M4 receive ip from the DHCP and when my laptop connected to wifi on deco M4, my laptop will have IP in range 192.168.1.0/24? Please kindly make clear my answer.
