Deco M5 - Wall or Ceiling Mounting

By using a generic Wall or Ceiling mount, will I decrease the performance of the Deco M5 unit in my setup by angling it vertically or upside down, is it better for the unit and aerials always to be placed on a flat service for best signal transmission and reception?

Hi,
There is no wall/ceiling mounting design for Deco series.
FYI, the wifi signal strength is stronger in horizontal direction compared to the vertical direction.
To get a good performance, it is suggested to locate it in an open, flat without much interference area.
May it help and have a good day.

I understand horizontal direction is best placement for wifi speed. But is is ok to place it upside down? This is a M9 plus and I want to do it to keep it cooler.
Thanks, Magne

Hi, it is ok to place it upside down.
And a small notice: Due to gravity reason, the vertical replacement for a long time might have a slim chance to cause the movement of the internal module.
