HI there,

QUestion, I have verizon router as my primary router and attaching my TP-link C2300 directly to one of the ethernet port in my office. Should i configure that as a second router or an access point? which method would be the best to optimize my wifi connection around the house? thank you! Shirley

Hi,

It is fine to configure it as router or access point on the second router (Archer C2300). The difference between two working modes is that router mode has DHCP the other not. So, with DHCP enabled, you may get double NAT in the office. Namely, PC1 linked to verizon router will not be able to access PC 2 linked to Archer C2300.In access point mode, PC1 can access PC2 without problem.

Good day!
