Model: RE305
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

My extender (RE305 ) is connected to a Ziggo (Holland) router that apparently has a (automatic) variable RF output power feature and even when I placed the extender right next to my router, its signal strength gets so low after a few minutes that the signal led turns red. This makes the investment in this extender worthless.

Any tips?

Hello,

Flashing red means that the extender is experiencing poor signal strength. While cause it is still slow even though it locates next to the router, we can do some troubleshooting first.

1. What about other devices? Can they get better wifi signal from the main router?

2. It is suggested to change the wireless channel of the main router and reconfigure the RE305. Below is the instruction:

3. Meanwhile, you can check the current firmware version of RE305, if it is not the latest one, please upgrade it first.

Note: Please verify the hardware version at first.

May it help. Good day.
