I just want to know if anyone here can explain further about my inquiry.

 

I am now using TPLINK Archer C1200, I have 500mbps Internet connection plan@home.

 

Yesterday I wanted to buy a new router because I suspected my router got problem after I upgrade to 500mbps connection which is last time only 100mbps.

 

Is it TRUE or NOT:

 

1. AC1200 with Gigabit can support only up to 300mbps Internet connection?

 

2. AC1900 with Gigabit can support 500mbps above?

1) True and false. For example WIFI 2.4 GHz on TP-Link AC1200 supports up to 300 Mpbs but 5 GHz supports up to 867 Mpbs per the specs. 2) False. Per specs, 600 and 1300 Mpbs. Bypass the router and ensure your speed before getting a new router.
