I tried downloading the latest firmware from EU and from US.
I tried IE, Edge, Firefox and Chrome.
This is my current firmware:










Firmware Version: 3.14.3 Build 150617 Rel.40547n
Hardware Version: Archer C7 v2 00000000



This is the error I get all the time:








Error code: 18005
Upgrade unsuccessfully because the version of the upgraded file was incorrect. Please check the file name.

Becasue of FCC and CE standard, we can't downgrade from EU version to US version.

Since it's EU version, we can only upgrade or downgrade between EU versions now.

Hi gabriels, you may haven't understood Anton compeletely.
According to his explanation, no matter upgrade or downgrade, EU version and US version can't be used interchangeably.
That's to say, we can't upgrade or downgrade between US and EU version.

Hi, I'm having the same problem with my Archer C7 (EU) HW version 2.0 with FW version 3.14.3 Build 150617 Rel.40547n.

When trying to upgrade the EU version of the firmware that matches my HW revision (2.0) I'm still getting an error code:







Error code: 18005
Upgrade unsuccessfully because the version of the upgraded file was incorrect. Please check the file name.

I want to underline that my HW version is 2.0 (EU) and that I'm trying to upgrade the firmware to an official firmware build from TP-Link's website: Archer C7(EU)_V2_170803.

Between 150617 and 170803, is there any firmware available?

If yes, try to update the middle firmware, then try to update the latest FW 170803.
