I've been connecting to my 5Ghz network at home completely fine but suddenly the speed of the network has decreased on my PC from 100+mbps to about 10. I know its not the error of the router since the network is working completely fine on other devices like my laptop and phones. Even the 2.4Ghz network has slowed down. I've tried everything from changing the channels of the network. When I open the device properties on my PC there is no option to change to 802.11ac or no option to select the 5Ghz network. Does anyone have a solution for this?

Hi, for your issue, we would like to confirm the below information first.

May I know the distance between the PC and the router? Does it work when you move the PC more closely to the router?

The frequency of the issue which the wireless speed gets from 100Mbps to 10Mbps? How did you recover it?

Since you said the 2.4GHz band also has the issue, can you check how many speeds you got on the PC for 2.4GHz wifi?

 

Please check if there are some special settings on the router like bandwidth control etc.

May I know when and where you bought the adapter? When the issue began to happen?

May I know if the adapter is working well before?

 

Please change router's 2.4GHz channel to be 1. 6. 11 and channel width to be 40MHz; 5GHz channel to be 36.40.44 and channel width to be 80MHz to check if the issue happens again?
