You can forward our complaints and validity reasons to introduce the improvements please. Insist with developers to update the firmware with the improvements we request as customers.

this google home and tapo connection is very useless. i don't have google cast but i have a phone. all i want is that when i say to google "im leaving" it should start away mode where the motion sensor starts to work. is there any way to do this?

@NigelP totally agree! 

 

Would love to be able to set IFTTT recipes to determine Home/Away too; would be great for stuff like setting it to be alert when I'm not connected to a particular WiFi point or only when my lights are off.

If TAPO cameras had IFTTT integration, I'd be buying 6 today.  But they don't.  So I'm not.
You really need to get your developers on this.
