Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 2.0.0 Build 20190408 Rel.31884(s)

I bought T1600G-18TS switch today and after connecting it to my Archer C7 router everything was fine but in like 2-3 minutes the switch drops the connection to all the devices connected to it.

What is causing this issue?

@NikolayStoyanov, did you set the IP address of the switch? Sounds to me as if the switch and the router (or another device in your network) use the same IP address.

@R1D2 The switch gets automatically IP address from the router. Do I have to set it manually? This is my first time using a switch and I'm not fully sure what to do.

The switch comes with static IP 192.168.0.1 by default (as any other managed switch, too). You need to assign it a free (unused) IP from your network before connecting it to a router. See the T1600G-18TS User's Guide, section 2.4, how to change the IP.

Rule of thumb: never use a dynamic (DHCP) address for stationary devices such as switches or servers.
